Swarming is a natural function of a honey bee colony. It is how they reproduce and grow. Each Spring, April through June, a honey bee colony will 'swarm'. The queen of the colony will leave with ~50% of her work bees to start life in a new location. The bees left in the original location will raise a new queen. Only 25% of swarms will survive into the next year.
We'll provide the swarm a new home and reward you with some local honey!
